I'm so funny.

Anyways, down to business.

PROSE:
I want to start writing more poems and short stories. My imagination has been dead for too long, and I'm starting to feel inspiration stirring inside of me again (ohbby), so I'm going to seize the opportunity and start writing again.

This is also going to be a mental health exercise for me; a lot of negative things have happened over the past year that have caused a lot of stress and unhappiness, and it has caused me to stray from literary creativity in the worst ways possible. To combat this lack of creativity - and to combat the unhealthy methods I've adopted to cope with my depression and everyday stresses - I've decided to start putting my thoughts and emotions into words. I've done this in the past, and it was incredibly therapeutic when there was consistency in my methods, so hopefully this will help with my struggles now.

TL;DR: Expect more short stories and poetry in the coming months. (Especially more poetry; that has always been my strongest outlet for my thoughts, so I will most likely be focusing on that aspect.)

Remember how I said I would update my journal if anything changed? Yeah... shit changed.

I've been talking to my cosplay group, The Phoenix Quartet, and it has been determined that we (meaning me, too) will be attending Otakon in Baltimore, Maryland this year.

So far, my cosplay lineup includes Organization Roxas from Kingdom Hearts, Rory from Teahouse, and potentially a custom Cheshire Cat design I created (I will not release the design until I have started the costume) based on the game Alice: Madness Returns. This may or may not change, based on my finances and whether or not I still have a job at the time.

We will also be making an endeavor to attend Another Anime Convention in Nashua, New Hampshire in the Fall. If all goes well, I will be making a Steampunk Signless cosplay, based on the webcomic Homestuck, and I will also be making Those Achievement Hunter Dorks' design of Michael Jones/Mogar's Minecraft skin. (TA-DA! One of my secret cosplays has been revealed! I still have another secret cosplay up my sleeve, though.) That costume, in particular, is going to be a reoccurring costume for the following convention year, as well, since it's simple and relatively comfortable to wear.

In other Rooster Teeth cosplay NEWS...

I still fully plan on attending PAX East in 2014, even if it is for only one day. However, it's looking like making Church from Red vs. Blue might have to be put on hold until I have more time and money to make a full suit of armor. (This is still up in the air, though.) As a backup, I intend on making Weiss Schnee from the new Rooster Teeth series RWBY, regardless of whether Church is going to be made or not. I was planning on making Weiss anyways, but now I have more motivation to do so, especially because the first RWBY episode is going to be premiered at RTX this year, and there is a high probability that Monty Oum is going to be at PAX East, along with several others from the Rooster Teeth crew that I really want to meet. :'DD

That's really it for now, I think? I'll try not to write another wall of text until after Anime Boston, if I can haha....ha... :T
